While it’s fun to go to the range and bomb driver after driver, in reality, this isn’t doing your game a lot of good. My first advice is to spend at least 1/2 your time on putting/chipping. The other 1/2, on the driving range, I recommend the following…
*** as you use each club, while always stressing tempo, hit 1/2 and 3/4 shots by reducing the takeaway and varying where you grip the club, in addition to full swings
*** constantly select different targets on the range
*** lay one or two clubs on the ground to confirm alignment is correct
*** mix it up by only hitting a club 2 or 3 times before switching to another
A terrific goal while practicing is to try to swing each club with the same amount of effort— make all your swings look the same.
And while you’re at it, HAVE FUN!!
